School starts at 8:45 a.m.

Kindergarten - 6th Grade

Students dismissed at 3:30 p.m.

Preschool starts at 9:00 a.m.

ends at 1:00 p.m.

Our parking lots are locked up every day from 8:30 am until 8:45 am and again at 3:20 pm until 3:35 pm.  If you are planning on visiting the school during those times be sure to park on the street to avoid getting locked in! 

If you get locked in you will have

to wait. This policy is for the

safety of your children! car driver

 

Drop Off/Pick Up

Parents: Please drop off your children at the playground entrances. Please do not drop them off at the front stairs as the front doors are now locked for security.

When coming to school in the morning, students are not allowed in the building before school.  Please do not come through the school to get to the playground. All students can walk around the building. schoolhouse

Houghtaling Pins

We now have pencils & pins for sale at Houghtaling! YAHOO! The pencils are #2 lead pencils and sell for $.50 cents each. They are royal blue with the school name & a dolphin on them.

They will sell for $3.00 each.

Stop by the school store sometime during your lunch to purchase them!

 

Houghtaling School Store

Our store is open! We will be selling t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, pins, and pencils. The store hours currently are during student lunch times. Ms. Shawna & Ms. Tami in the office will be running the store for the time being. Please come by the office during lunch times to purchase your items.

Address and Phone number changes – It is important that you contact the school office (225.4128) as soon as you make a change in your address, home phone number, cell phone number, work phone number, or emergency contact.

 

Visiting – You are ALWAYS welcome at Houghtaling School, however, we ask that you sign in at the office and put on a visitors badge.

 

PATH – the PTA organization at Houghtaling is called PATH, Parents and Teachers of Houghtaling.  All parents and teachers are encouraged to become members of the PATH organization, which meets in the library once a month.  The PATH organization has five main functions:

  • Encourage parents to become more involved in the school.
  • Provide parent information programs.
  • Provide input on school and district decisions.
  • Conduct fund raising to benefit our students.
  • Organize social functions for our parents, staff, and students.
