Houghtaling Elementary School's principal, teachers, students, and parents share and sign a parent compact that lists the ways we can all contribute to the success of our students.

The purpose of the School-Parent-Student Compact, found in Section 1118 of Public Law 103-382, is to build and foster the development of the school-parent/guardian partnership to help all children achieve the State's high standards. Responsibility for improved achievement will be shared by parents/guardians, the child, and the teachers.
